The upgraded audio sounds great. Much improved from your early episodes, which were a little rough on the ears (but still listenable). It's been a while since I've tuned in (I guess since maybe episode 15-20 or so) so I don't know how much progress was made in the interim, but it's night and day now.
Regarding Russia, Napoleon wasn't the first existential threat they faced from the West.
Going as far back as the 13th Century, the Latin Church waged several crusades to crush the Rus civilization and the Orthodox Faith.
Despite Mongol occupation and centuries long clashes with the Ottoman Empire, none of those posed as much of a threat to Russia's Orthodox civilization as the Swedish–Novgorodian Wars or the aforementioned Livonian Crusade.
That's not even counting the numerous wars they fought against Poland which dated back to the 10th Century.
