Indeed, rather than glorifying war or remembering warriors for things they didn’t even do, it is best to take a hard look at the immoral nature of war and the outcome of reduced liberty for americans.

In my experience I have a hard time when people thank me for my service. I cannot say anything in response.

I nearly died from the anthrax vaccine before leaving the US.

When I did my mission in Dec. 2011 I brought trucks into Mosul when the war was supposed to be ending and a deal was made with the rebels to allow us to move our assets out of Iraq. My unit was called “the last boots on the ground” but we were already being replaced with paramilitary forces who continued operations in the absence of our legal presence. Those trucks were then suplied to what appears to be Op4 to justify the invasion of Syria by 17 nations, as justified by the 9th isis video featuring a Jordanian pilot burning alive allegedly. The Jordanian king said neither he nor anyone in his kingdom watched the video but on the mere claim it existed he sent airplanes to bomb Syria.

I feel used and decieved, and feel the wars we fight there are for continued control of and profit from oil resources. Evidence indicates this has been happening since the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. See: Brittish Petroleum and The Red Line Agreement by Edwin Black.

All true and the anthrax shot (a series of three of which I only took one) jacked me up for the remainder of my life and is probably the primary cause of my chronic fatigue syndrome.

I recommend "Vaccine A" by Gary Matsumoto.

Book purchased (used for $10).

Agreed about the probability of that causing CFS. In 1994 Senator Rockafellar told the public Gulf War Syndrome (a collection of 13 unique symptoms including chronic fatigue) is likely caused by medical countermeasures including vaccines.

The military doesn’t keep records of adverse events.

A creator of the anthrax vaccine said it won’t protect against weaponized anthrax and may not protect against natural forms of anthrax.

I suspect the grey area fostered by these behaviors may be used as cover for testing of other experimental drugs, as evidenced by one soldier’s story. In the 1970s it is alleged his FOIA records show he was given one drug known to have dangers, and another drug thought to offset those dangers.

I was also given two injections. The first I was told was anthrax vaccine. Then I said I would pass out. Then the nurse hurriedly prepared and administered the second injection. For that reason I suspect I may have also been used as a test subject for an experimental drug. My records request is in process now.

Gods, that's terrible. This is why on all subsequent deployments, I asked the 18D what shots I needed for upcoming deployments and brought my yellow card (I am that old) home and my wife filled it out.

The revolution was the last time it was a war of necessity and about our freedoms. All the other ones were about expanding the empire. All of them. And yes for all that we were still a republic in the early days I’d say the United States has been an empire from pretty much the beginning.

The intentions of the criminal parasites, their pursuance of power, greed, wealth and maniacal satisfaction does not diminish the service you and I “signed up” for - to serve and protect the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. Having the benefit of hindsight, it is our responsibility to try and stop all further wars of choice, as you correctly stated.

But don’t diminish the courage and sacrifice of those who sacrificed everything when 99% of the rest can’t be bothered to serve anyone/anything but themselves. It is that sacrifice that I remember today and everyday, that of my fallen buddies, family members and countless others that would otherwise be forgotten.
